Some industry experts argue that the iPhone 5 could be the fastest
smartphone on the planet. After learning what the specifications of the
new iPhone are, this shouldn’t come as a surprise.
Apple’s
next-generation iPhone will run on the 4G LTE cellular network, operate
on a quad-core A6 processor and include 1 GB of RAM.
To put this type of power into perspective, Apple’s
current-generation Retina iPad, runs on a A5X processor and 512 MB of
RAM. Essentially doubling that power on the iPhone 5 will make
multitasking more powerful and the overall experience feel much
snappier.
This type of power could compromise battery life, however.
The iPhone 5 battery is bigger, but only slightly more powerful.
Don’t expect Apple to say that battery life is even better on this
next-generation iPhone, rather, that it’s more powerful and maintains
the same battery life as past iPhones.
